Hair has always been political. It carries culture, identity, race, gender, class and power. Colonialism didn’t just take land and resources. It shaped the way we were taught to see our bodies and each other.

But hair can also be a site of resistance, reclamation and joy.

Join hairdressers, artists, educators and community members for a conversation about textured hair, representation, access and culture.

Then stick around for haircuts, food, community and connection.

Come as you are. Natural, straight, curly, braided, loc’d or buzzed. Let’s talk politics.
