Hope Not Hate: Fight the Far Right

VENUE CHANGE: The event will now be at Balam Balam Place, Brunswick.

Let’s talk about solidarity, collective power and fighting back.

The far right is growing louder, using racism, fear and division to scapegoat our communities.

But we know division won’t make housing affordable, bring down bills or improve people’s lives.

Join Anasina Gray-Barberio MP and Senator Mehreen Faruqi for an important community conversation about the rise of the far right, racism, hate, democracy and how we build stronger communities together.

We’ll be bringing together voices from across First Nations, migrant, Jewish, Palestinian and progressive communities to talk about what’s happening, what’s at stake and how we can organise for a fairer and more inclusive future.

Panel featuring:

  • Tarneen Onus Browne – Organising Manager at Common Threads
  • Noura Mansour – National Director – Democracy in Colour
  • Amy Remeikis – Chief Political Analyst – The Australia Institute & Founder of Pyjama Politics (Online via zoom)
