Let’s enshrine the right to access abortion in the Victorian constitution.

The right to abortion is increasingly under threat. 

As we have seen in recent elections in Queensland, and overseas in the United States, all it takes is a change of government for people’s reproductive rights to be at risk of being stripped away.

That’s why we want to enshrine access to abortion in the Victorian constitution. This is a powerful way to make it harder for future governments to revoke this fundamental human right, based on their political agendas.

The Greens have introduced a Bill to Parliament that would do exactly this. 

Reproductive rights have been hard-won in Victoria, but the fight isn’t over. 

We cannot go back. It’s your body, your choice. Always.

Let’s enshrine this right in our constitution, so people’s access to vital reproductive healthcare can never be taken away.
